HISTORY
The House of Elliott gift shop first opened in December 2001. Opening up a retail shop was a completely new venture for me having spent the previous 18 years in HR. The House of Elliott is a small independently run gift shop situated in the old historic part of Hemel Hempstead. The building itself is over 300 years old and in previous lives was a pub, tea room and bonnet makers.
The House of Elliott sells a wide range of Jewellery, Gifts and Accessories. Our stock is varied and ever-changing – anything from one-off items, goods made by local craftspeople through to goods manufactured by large more well-known companies. To keep our stock diverse, fresh and interesting we make 2-3 visits per year to national gift fairs to source new products/designs.
WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?
We pride ourselves in offering a friendly service and products that are “a little bit different”. Our customers, many of whom have shopped regularly with us since the shop opened 9 years ago, like the fact that they can find that special gift at a reasonable price and one that is not ordinarily found on the high street. Being a small independent retailer we are more than happy to devote time to helping you find that perfect gift be it for a wedding, milestone birthday, or christening etc. But at the same time we do so in a non-pressurised way – we want you to be happy with your purchase ! We are also happy to help with co-ordinated packaging in which to present your gift and will even gift wrap it for you!
Our overall aim is to offer a friendly, reliable service in a relaxed environment. If we don’t stock an item that you particularly want then we will do our best to find it for you. In fact we are in regular contact with a lot of our customers to advise when the stock they are waiting for has arrived.
We have built up a good reputation over the past 9 years and hope to continue to do so in many years to come.
